முடிச்சதும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மெதுவா translate பண்ணாங்க: 'May we attain that excellent glory of Savitar the God: so may he stimulate our prayers.'

Abbe J. A. Dubois; translated and edited by Henry K. Beauchamp
Evidence:SupportedDubois describes achamana as part of the morning sandhya he observed in South India around 1800: water held in the hollow of the right hand is sipped three times, after which the worshipper touches the nose, eyes, ears, navel, chest, head and shoulders with the fingers, sprinkles a few drops of water on the head, and pours a little on the ground; he also notes the sandhya was repeated at noon and evening with different prayers.
